The neck injury has long been known to pose a death threat to motorcyclists in road crash, Besides, the neck carries several vital structures such as phrenic nerve and part of the origin of brachial plexus. Injuries to these will cause numerous complications. The study on motorcycle road crash has indicated that the neck injury is one of the major single causes of death in Malaysian motorcyclists (Pang, 1999).
